To say Raph Bruhwiler is influential in the Canadian surf scene is a vast understatement — he is the Canadian surf scene. As the country’s first professional surfer, Raph is known internationally for his passion and fearlessness. Living off the rugged coast of Tofino, British Columbia, he’s used to the challenge of charging ice-cold water, and dives in every time. He lends his familiarity of the waters to the Canadian Coast Guard on search and rescue missions. When he’s not spending time in the water or with his wife and kids, Raph is playing double duty as the owner of the Bruhwiler Surf School and an adventure surf program.
