For most competitive athletes, CrossFit is a full-time job. For Emily Rolfe, it’s her side gig. As a full-time medical radiographer, Emily uses her spare time to train for CrossFit, an almost unbelieve concept when you consider her six Crossfit Game appearances. While some could see juggling both as a disadvantage, she sees it as strength, giving her the opportunity to hone her sense of discipline while inadvertently preventing her from overtraining. While she’s faced numerous setbacks, including having to withdraw from the 2022 games due to emergency surgery, Emily remains undeterred. So undeterred that she’s known to many as “Engine-M” for her almost-superhuman endurance and determination. In 2024, her hard work paid off as she earned her personal best at the games, taking the podium with a 3rd place finish, and exemplifying her position as a standout figure in CrossFit.
