What are the dimensions and weight of the Food Storage containers?

Can you clean the Food Storage gasket?

The gasket is removable and you can either put it in the dishwasher or clean it by hand.

Is the Food Storage gasket replaceable?

The gasket itself is not replaceable, so you’ll either have to purchase a new product or contact us.

Do they get cloudy over time?

They shouldn’t, even with heavy use. If it does, contact customer service.

Are the Food Storage lids sold separately?

Nope, lids are not sold separately at this time. 

Does heat transfer? Will I need gloves?

This product is not insulated. Use caution when lifting/carrying after reheating contents in the microwave.

Are they microwave and freezer-safe? Dishwasher safe?

They sure are.

Are they oven safe?

No. Don’t use them in a conventional, convection, or toaster oven. Make sure any combination oven is set to microwave mode only.

Are there special instructions for how to use them in the microwave?

If you are using them to reheat previously cooked food, they’re microwave-safe. However, the containers aren’t intended for cooking. Do not reheat with latches engaged, and always microwave in short durations. Additional information can be found on the product’s use and care insert.

Are there any contents that should not be microwaved?

Yes, do not melt or excessively reheat foods high in fat content such as butter, lard, wax, and oils –– or foods high in sugar content such as candy, syrup, and chocolate.

What are the cleaning and care tips?

These are dishwasher safe, but for a more thorough clean you can wash by hand. Be sure to remove the gasket and let it fully dry before re-installing.

What YETI® Products does each size fit in and how may it fit?

Small & Medium Food Storage can fit in any size of Hopper®, and Roadie® Coolers and can be paired with YETI® Ice Sheet to help contents stay cold. Large Food Storage can best fit in the Hopper Flip® 12, Hopper Flip® 18, M20 & M30 Coolers, 32, 48, and 60.

Any plans to release other sizes?

Not right now.

Are they 100% leakproof?

Yes they are.

Any plans to release other colors?

Not at the moment.

Do they nest inside each other?

Yes, but only without lids on.

Is there a Warranty on Food Storage?

5 years.

Where can I find the serial number?

On the bottom of the packaging.

What's the easiest way to close the latches on my food storage container to ensure it’s fully secure?

Simply push down on the top of the latches until you hear a click sound on each side. This should indicate that the food storage container is fully secure and closed properly. Avoid using the sides of the latches to close as it may be more difficult.

How can I prevent the lid from suctioning onto the base of the container?

Before securing the lid, first allow hot contents to cool in the container with the lid off. After a few minutes have passed, secure the lid and store as you normally would.

What if my Food Storage lid is stuck after the contents inside have cooled?

First, disengage all latches and try to remove the lid by popping up one of the corners of the lid. If this doesn't work, you can microwave the container for 30 seconds to release lid suctions and then remove it quickly. Although a little lid suction is normal, you can avoid it by promptly removing the container from the microwave and removing the lid, preventing it from cooling too rapidly.
