What are some use cases for the Roadie® 8?
The Roadie® 8 is our most personal hard cooler yet. It’s ideal for those who need a daily lunch carrier for far-out jobs, golfers, athletes, and can be strapped onto small motor vehicles such as motorcycles, ATV’s, and even paddleboards for picnics that go beyond the park.
How can I keep ice in my Roadie® 8 longer?
To maximize your hard cooler’s ice retention, pre-chill it with a sacrificial bag of ice before loading it up, layer the base with YETI® Ice Sheets, and minimize sun exposure by keeping it in a cool, covered area.
Is the Roadie® 8 leakproof?
No, it is not leakproof.
How do I clean the Roadie® 8?
You can clean your cooler using soap and warm water. For a more thorough clean, use a ratio of 6:1 water to bleach and a sponge or mildly abrasive rag to scrub it down.
Does the Roadie® 8 come with any accessories like a basket?
No, it does not. However, you can kit your Roadie® 8 out with our various accessories, such as the Small Roadie® Basket, Small and Medium YETI® Ice Sheet, or the Small and Medium YETI® Food Storage. We also offer our DoubleDuty™ Strap as an alternative carrying option for those who want to switch out their SmallHaul™ Handle.
Why did the handle on the Roadie® 8 switch to a hard plastic handle over the soft handle on other Roadie® Coolers?
We wanted to create an ultra-comfortable, one-handed carrying solution for our most personal hard cooler yet.
Can I sit or stand on the Roadie® 8?
It is durable enough to sit on but we do not recommend standing or stepping on it.
Is there a way to secure and lock the Roadie® 8?
There are tie down slots on either side of the Roadie® 8’s SmallHaul™ Handle that can be used to strap it down to your golf cart, ATV, motorcycle, or kayak.
Is the latch on the Roadie® 8 the same as the latch on other Roadie® Hard Coolers?
Unlike our other Roadie® Hard Coolers, the Roadie® 8’s Quicklatch™ consists of one larger latch instead of two, making it ideal for quick, one-handed cooler access.
Is the Roadie® 8 covered by Warranty?
